After successful completion this course, you will be eligible to carry in 37 states. If you choose, you will be able to apply for Illinois, Florida, & Arizona concealed carry permits. Most of our 16 hour classes take place over the weekend; Saturday & Sunday (8-hours each day), and during certain weekdays. We also offer some weeknight classes which are spread out over 4 evenings (4-hours each day). Majority of the course takes place in our classroom. All concealed carry courses include the necessary training materials, coffee, tea, & hot chocolate. The shooting range portion of the weekend class will usually take place on Sunday morning (Day 2), prior to that days class session. A $25 range fee is to be paid in cash at the range and is separate from the class tuition. You will also need to use a firearm for this portion. If you do not have your own firearm, firearms and ammunition can be rented for a small fee. Sundays class will begin immediately following the range qualifying. Day 1 — Condition Yellow Academy Basic Pistol Course is conducted.
The student will develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude to safely possess and operate pistols and revolvers.
This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn the universal rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the two handed standing position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. We will cover the following topics on Day 1:

b.) Home storage
c.) Vehicle storage

2.) Basic principles of marksmanship; Minimum 3 hours Classroom/Range

3.) Care, cleaning, loading, and unloading of a concealable firearm; Minimum 3 hours Classroom
a.) Gun identification: revolver, semi-automatic, misc.

e.) Loading and unloading
Day 2 – IL CCF Permit Training Course is conducted.
This day will begin on the shooting range for a range test. Then back in class, the student will learn the applicable laws (State and Federal) concerning concealed carry firearms in IL. We will also cover living the armed lifestyle, proper mindset and situational awareness, holster and firearm selection options, drawing from the holster, a written test, and finally a certificate of completion. This course is at least 8-hours long. We will cover the following topics in Day 2:
1.) All applicable State and Federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of a firearm; Minimum 4 hours Classroom
a.) The Act in its entirety
1.) With emphasis on 430 ILCS 66/10(h) which includes instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
2.)With emphasis on 430 ILCS 66/65 which includes instruction on prohibited areas and the parking lot exception.
b.) The FOID Act 430 ILCS 65/1 et. seq.
c.) Relevant portions of the ILCS including but not limited to:
1.) 720 ILCS 5/7-1. Use of force in defense of a person
2.) 720 ILCS 5/7-2. Use of force in defense of dwelling
3.) 720 ILCS 5/7-3. Use of force in defense of other property
4.) 720 ILCS 24/1 et. seq. Unlawful Use of Weapons
5.) Definitions of dwelling, aggressor, forcible felony and unlawful use of weapons pursuant to the ILCS.
2.) Weapon Handling; Minimum 4 hours.
a.) Dry fire practice drills, handgun fundamentals.
b.) Dry fire practice drills from concealment.
c.) Live fire practice drills, handgun fundamentals.
Live fire qualification with a concealable firearm consisting of minimum of 30 rounds which must include 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards; 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards; and 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the Illinois State Police.
